Résumé : | This is an overview of the VET system in Czech Republic. Information is presented according to the following themes : 1. External factors influencing VET : political and socio-economic context ; population and demographics ; economy structure ; employment and unemployment ; labour supply and demand ; VET qualifications on the labour market ; expenditure on education. 2. Providing VET in a LLL perspective : national education and training system (IVET and CVET systems) ; government regulated VET provision (governance of IVET ; funding IVET ; legislative framework for IVET ; Initial Vocational Education and Training System; governement regulated CVET) ; other forms of training (non-formal CVET legislation and governance ; CVET provision ; quality assurance mechanisms ; participation in CVET). 3. Shaping VET qualifications : anticipation of skills needs ; monitoring of current trends ; development of qualifications and the labour market ; implementation of the curricula ; recognition of qualification ; awarding bodies ; mechanisms for quality assurance in the process of recognition of qualifications. 4. Promoting participation in vocational education and training : promoting participation in IVET ; promoting participation in CVET ; guidance and counselling : the MSMT and MPSV counselling systems ; another services for adults.
